Yes, this wine is made from a tiny parcel of vines planted in 1903! As many of you know, we LOVE great Cru Beaujolais. The 2024 Yohan Lardy V.V. de 1903 has beautiful fruit, food-friendly balancing acidity, soil transparency and great sense of energy. This wine has all the elements of great Moulin-a-Vent: soaring spice-filled aromatics, beautiful red and dark fruits, firm but the most silky tannins, and a soil signature that rounds out the complexity of this scintillating red wine. Enjoy with roast chicken, grilled sausages (or any pork dish for that matter), steak, vegetarian fare and so on now and over the next 12 years. We’ve now tasted quite a few 2024 Cru Beaujolais, and this is easily our favorite. Super-duper limited. Super-duper good. This is grand cru merde.
