The Contrada Rinazzo is the vineyard source of Benanti’s legendary Pietra Marina, often regarded as one of Italy’s greatest white wines. Benanti "Contrada Rinazzo" Etna Bianco is a distinctive white made entirely from Carricante grapes grown on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna in the Contrada Rinazzo vineyard at an altitude close to 800 meters. The volcanic soils and cool, high-altitude climate contribute to the wine’s freshness, complexity, and intense mineral character allowing the unique terroir of Contrada Rinazzo to shine through in this elegant expression of Etna Bianco. Notes of lime and lemon zest, thyme, tarragon, toasted almond and that volcanic mineral expression are framed by refreshing acidity which keeps the wine lively now as well as giving it the structure to age gracefully for another five to seven years.
