Collection: Domaine Overnoy

These wines are on their way to cult status - yep, they’ll soon be unicorn wines.

I can’t tell you how excited we are to be able to offer you, and take home for ourselves. It’s a real privilege for us to be allocated these wines.

If you’re unfamiliar with wine form the Jura (just east of Burgundy), here’s your opportunity to start at the top. If you are already a fan of Jura wine (like we are!), then here is your chance to secure some of the very best wines of the region.

Domaine Overnoy, led by Emmanuel Overnoy, is the real deal. Working with 100% organic old vines, the Domaine Overnoy wines transmit both varietal character and terroir effortlessly. While you will recognize Chardonnay, both Savagnin (white) and Trousseau (red) are native to the Jura and very rarely seen outside the region. The best Savagnin are full-bodied, dry and very savory while Trousseau is a medium-bodied red that is intensely flavorful and incredibly satisfying at the table (enjoy with all the same dishes you would with Pinot Noir).

The only comparison from a quality standpoint in the Jura are the Emmanuel Houillon/Pierre Overnoy wines. The main difference between these two estates are: 1) The Chardonnay and Savagnin are topped up to avoid oxidation. 2) The red is 100% Trousseau and is a little more precise and “cleaner” at Domaine Overnoy, but without sacrificing any complexity. 3) The Domaine Overnoy wines don’t cost $300+ (so far) and 4) while the Domaine Overnoy wines are available in extremely limited quantities - they are actually available.

These wines are made in minuscule quantities and very little of what is made makes it to the U.S. If you are interested, do not hesitate! First come, first served.

Domaine Overnoy 2023 Trousseau, Cotes du Jura

Domaine Overnoy 2023 Trousseau, Cotes du Jura

$49.99 bottle / $275.94($45.99) six-pack Sourced from a one acre parcel on clay and limestone soil, this Trousseau has a very cool nose with notes of rhubarb and strawberry and a touch of baking spices. The palate has fantastic energy and lift with a reprise of the rhubarb/strawberry fruit and a hint of limestone mineral action. Elegant with impressive drive, this is totally delicious…probably my favorite Trousseau I’ve ever had - and I’ve had a few. Enjoy now through 2033.

Domaine Overnoy 2022 Chardonnay, Cuvée Charmille, Cotes du Jura

Domaine Overnoy 2022 Chardonnay, Cuvée Charmille, Cotes du Jura

$49.99 bottle / $275.94($45.99) six-pack From old vines in the tiny En Poinot vineyard, this Chardonnay is all about precision, structure and terroir expression. Super aromatic nose. The palate offers great texture and really starts to open up after 5-10 minutes. Minerally with notes of toasted hazelnuts and ripe pears, this is already an intriguing wine and offers lots of potential for further development and complexity over the next eight to ten years.

Domaine Overnoy 2022 Savagnin Ouillé, Cotes du Jura

Domaine Overnoy 2022 Savagnin Ouillé, Cotes du Jura

$64.99 bottle / $359.94($59.99) six-pack The Savagnin Ouillé (topped up) has a really cool nose with aromas of freshly cracked walnuts, spices and grilled pineapple leading the way. This wine somehow pulls off the trick of being both bright and succulent at that same time with its beautiful Savagnin fruit, citrus hint and balancing acidity. Loaded with minerally terroir notes, this wine is already captivating, but is just getting started on its long evolution in the cellar. For Savagnin fans (like us), this is a special wine.
